Center Township (Township of Center)
Center Township is one of nine townships in Hancock County, Indiana, United States. As of the 2010 census, its population was 25,819 and it contained 10,909 housing units.
Center Township was organized in 1831. It was named from its position at the geographical center of Hancock County.

Indigenous peoples have inhabited the Americas for thousands of years. Beginning in 1607, British colonization led to the establishment of the Thirteen Colonies in what is now the Eastern United States. With the Union's victory and preservation, slavery was abolished nationally by the Thirteenth Amendment.
